In video and photography she interrogates the external disposition of society in correlation to simulacrum and escapism. The themes of binaries interlink throughout the artist’s work to translate her understanding of hope and the harsh realities of life influenced by her personal experience of depression. The Impressionists have influenced the artist’s perception of light and colour which become evident in her use of bright colours and form making.  This is further reinforced by her inspiration of natural light and how it fluctuations. She is further inspired by nebulas which are the formations of stars and how in the process of creation the gases create palates of numerous colours.
